展覧会設計ゼミ、CPUE（＝Curatorial Practice in the Urban Environment）コースでは、都市の中で展覧会をつくるというキュレーションの実践を通して、現代アートと社会を結びつけることを意図しています。一般の人々に広くアートに触れてもらい、より豊かな対話が生まれる場所作りから展覧会を構想しており、１回目の「ときめき☆エンカウンター」（秋葉原UDX、秋葉原、2006）を皮切りに「感情の強盗」（BankART、横浜、2007）、「ダブル・クロノス」、（瑞聖寺アートプロジェクト、白金台、2008)など場所の特性を活かした展覧会を企画してきました。当ゼミの特色は、展覧会のための場所選び、作家選定、展覧会テーマの設定などをはじめ、予算の振り分け、フライヤーデザイン、広報活動、企業への協賛打診といった、展覧会運営を取り巻く、ありとあらゆる業務を学生主体で全て執り行うという点にあります。遵守すべきルールそのものすら、自分たちで話し合うことによって生み出さねばならないという特殊な環境下において練り上げられる展覧会は、私たち学生の今という時代、美術の在り方に対するリアルな想いの現れです。通常の美術施設ではなかなか実現の出来ない切り口・構成の展覧会に是非ご期待ください。

Curatorial Practice in the Urban Environment (CPUE) is one of the courses offered by Department of Art Science, Faculty of Art and Design, Tama Art University. It is intended to strengthen ties between contemporary art and society through the curatorial practice of staging exhibitions in cities. It consequently revolves around the conception and execution of exhibits through the preparation of sites that will bring all strata of the general public into contact with art and breed a richer dialogue. The CPUE group staged previous exhibitions that accented the features of the site. More specifically, the first was entitled “Tokimeki Encounter”(“Sparkle Encounter”), and held at the Akihabara UDX complex in Tokyo’s Akihabara district in 2006. It was followed by “Emotional Robbery”, which was held at Bank ART in Yokohama in 2007, and “Double Chronos”, which was staged at as part of the Zuishoji Art Projects (ZAP) in Tokyo’s Shirokanedai district in 2008. In each case, the exhibits were put together to accent the character of the site and location.

The Seminar is characterized by its policy of having the students take the initiative in executing all of the work involved in staging an exhibition, from selection of the site, artists, and theme to budget allocations, design of flyers, publicity activities, approaches to corporations for support, and other tasks.

전시기획세미나 CPUE(=Curatorial Practice in the Urban Environment)는 도시안에서 전시를 기획하는 큐레이션의 실천을 통해, 현대미술과 사회를 연결하려는 의도로 이루어지고있습니다. 일반인들에게 보다 넓은 예술을 접하게 하고, 보다 많은 대화가 이루어지는 장소를 만드는것으로부터 전시를 구상하고 있습니다. 첫회전시인 ‘도키메키☆인카운터’(아키하바라UDX,아키하바라,2006)를 시작으로 ‘감정의 강도’(뱅크아트,요코하마,2007), ‘더블 크로노스’(즈이쇼우지아트프로젝트,시로카네다이,2008)등 장소의 특성을 살려 전시를 기획해왔습니다.
전시를 기획하기위한 장소선택, 작가선정, 전시테마설정등을 시작으로, 예산분담및 관리, 리플릿디자인, 홍보활동, 기업에대한 협력타진등을 포함하여, 전시운영을 둘러싼 모든 업무를 학생주체로 이루어지고 있는 점이 저희 세미나의 특색이라 할수 있습니다.

展览会设计研究会，CPUE(=Curatorial Practice in the Urban Environment)，是一个通过在都市里进行展览会的各种策展活动，致力于让现代艺术与社会相结合的研究会。我们的目的是策划出能让普罗大众更多地接触艺术，衍生更为广泛的交流的展览会。从第一次的「拨动心悬☆邂逅」(秋叶原UDX,秋叶原，2006)开始，到「感情的强盗」(BankART，横滨，2007)以及「双重・克隆那斯」(端圣寺艺术项目，白金台，2008)等，我们依照展场的特性，企划了各种具有特色的展览会。
本研究会的特色是，从展览会的展场选择, 艺术家选定, 展览会主题设定, 到预算分配, 海报传单设计, 宣传活动, 与企业间的协商等等，展览会运营所需涉及的所有业务都由学生来策划与执行。
